The Seen & Heard Project
Everyone deserves a space to tell their story and to Be Seen and Heard.

Our Mission:
The Mission of the Seen and Heard Project is to empower youth and young adults to embrace mental wellness by connecting them to accessible therapy, treatment, safe community spaces, education, and other resources to foster true healing and support. We are dedicated to eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health issues within the Black and Brown community and creating safe spaces for growth and transformation. We desire all of the youth and young adults who join our community to Be Seen and Heard.
What We Do:
We Connect, Empower and Educate.
We provide and connect Black and Latino youth with free or low-cost individual and group therapy sessions, coaching and support groups, culturally relevant products, and education on mental health concerns. We partner with schools and organizations to eliminate barriers to care and provide therapy services and share our mental health resources. We empower youth and young adults by providing our comprehensive mental health training curriculum to schools to empower youth with solutions on how to handle and talk about mental health issues that plague our community and lessen the stigma surrounding mental health. We educate school staff, churches, and the community on signs and best practices for working with youth with mental health or social concerns. We are an organization committed to providing culturally relevant materials that youth of color can identify with and relate to.
Who We Serve
Be Seen and Heard primarily serves Black and Latino youth and young adults ages 10-25. We provide therapy and partner with culturally relevant therapists and churches in our community to offer low cost or free individual or group sessions to Black and Brown youth and young adults who may not have had previous access to mental health resources and therapy. We serve schools and community organizations by teaching about mental health and providing training opportunities to staff at youth serving organizations.
